    Don't get me wrong! It is important that we support the use of lipstick! Lipstick is GOOD!
As a survivor of cancer, I support "WINGS" and ANY and ALL support groups related to this
menacing monster. Some of us are "accomplished" some have only "just" started our lives,
some of us are in the middle of raising our children, (and THAT'S not easy), and then some of us 
were ready to "throw in the towel" when everything seemed so bleak! So when you bounce back from the "BRINK", you stand for a cause! It's the least you can do for Man AND Womankind!

Read what it says about this on snopes.com.  In the Search box type in "Lead in Lipstick" then click on the first entry they bring up on this subject.  It says that e-mails with this claim have been circulating the net since 2003 and that basically it is false.  The writer does a lot of investigation with the government regulators and the lipstick manufacturers and concludes that there is little or no risk of cancer through the use of lipstick in the U.S.A. There are strict guidelines on the amount of lead used in any product, although none specifically for lipstick.

It contained lead.

The higher the lead content, 

The greater the chance of causing cancer

After doing a test on lipsticks,  

It was found that the Y.S.L. Lipstick
Contained the most amount of lead.  

Watch out for those lipsticks
Which are supposed to stay longer.  

If your lipstick stays longer, it is

Because of the higher content of lead.   


Here is the test you can do yourself:

 

1. Put some lipstick on your hand.  
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick. 
   3. If the lipstick colour changes to black, Then you know the lipstick contains lead
